Welcome to Caldwell Dressage. Tina Caldwell has been located at Rancho Riding Club for almost 17 years. Her professional career began in 1993 when she partnered with three time olympian Guenter Seidel and remained as his assistant until 2002. When faced with the decision to follow him to another facility, Tina chose to continue at RRC.

 

She began her riding career in three day eventing and achieved many honors, considered the dressage phase “secret weapon”. In 1987 Guenter came to the United States and Tina began her association with him, choosing to switch to Dressage. Guenter found her a wonderful dressage schoolmaster “Botticelli”. They competed in the National young rider trials, achieving a place on the team, and multiple championship ribbons. By the age of 19 she was already competing at the Grand Prix level and loving every minute of it. In 1994 Botticelli and Tina competed in the Olympic Trials at the Rancho Riding Club.

 

Thereafter Tina had wonderful success on many client horses. Reserve champion at the year end Nationals Intermediare Freestyle on Susan Whites “Fantastico”. Grand Prix Champion on her mare “Tanzen”. Reserve Champion in the International Championships on Linda Edwards mare “Jonkara” and multiple other honors on all the wonderful horses she has had the pleasure to ride, including her own Grand Prix horse Markant.

 

She has also had much experience in bringing horses along in their careers, importing many of them from Europe and training them for their owners to compete up the levels.

 

In addition to Guenter Seidel, Tina has had the opportunity to ride with many of the dressage masters of our generation including Robert Dover (5 time Olympian), Klaus Balkenhohl (Olympic Coach for Germany), Debbie McDonald (Olympian) and Ulla Salzgeber (World Cup Champion).

 

Imparting a classic German system of training that emphasizes feel and a thorough knowledge of the dressage system, Tina can assist you in achieving your goals no matter your level.
